Meet Selena

Hey!

my name is Selena, its such an honour to share this space with you.
I began my practice on my mat with curiosity, not knowing where it could lead me. My soul intention was to better understand myself. If you too have explored a path of self discovery, you probably have realized its not for the faint of heart.

With self awareness can come reflections on our past selves, and how we treated ourselves or others. It made me realize I was the only one holding myself back. When I found Ayurveda, it was a pivotal moment for my health journey. I struggled with heart burn, cold sores, indigestion, hot flashes, skin sensitivities, and so much more that just became my ‘normal’. Ayurveda revealed to me the pattern of my imbalances, I was experiencing elevated Pitta Dosha, Fire and Inflammation. Once I really dove into this path of practice, the passion to guide others ignited. I no longer experienced the symptoms that I used to call normal. I had
more energy, clarity. I was more calm, and grounded.

I realized how important it is to understand ourselves, how food and our environment effect us, to create inner vitality. I continued to study. I am a certified Advanced Ayurveda Wellness Counsellor (CAISH), Registered Naturotherapy Practitioner AYU®, 200hr YTT (Loka Yoga). Reiki Attuned (Infinite Strength), Energy Intuitive (McKenna Method) all of which have ultimately lead me to deep inner discovery.

When I had my first son, I became very aware of the lack of support in a mothers sacred period of time. From the cold appointments in the clinics, with little information on birth preparation, there wasnt much support for me. Pregnancy, birth, and this initiation started to become very important to me. I read books, and furthered my studies with specific Ayurvedic care for each trimester, from nourishment, yoga asana, breathwork, and herbal practices.

As I was pregnant with my second, I had the honour of nourishing and supporting a dear friend through out her pregnancy, present at her birth as an Ayurvedic Doula and sharing words of affirmation, then continued to support her in Postpartum. It was in this moment of trust with my friend I really realized I was destined for this work. Acnowleding my dharma and stepping closer to my lifes purpose. Supporting mothers to support them through out a vibrant pregnancy, empowering birth and a nourished postpartum.

I thought my career would pause having kids, and instead they continue to reveal to me the path I’m meant to be on.

Able to connect with other women, who crave the more holistic approach to pregnancy and beyond, I hold space, listen, and provide appplicable practices for where you’re at on your journey.

Ayurveda is a medicine relevant to the modern day, for each and every being. The relation to ourselves and nature is astounding, the more we slow down and acknowledge we are the microcosm in the macrocosm, we continue to find harmony in our mind, body and souls.
